Your questions, answered

Is the i-Class suitable for newborns?

Yes, completely. The i-Class is designed for babies from 40 cm, which means it's ready from the very first ride home from the hospital. The full-body newborn support cushion holds them snugly in exactly the right position, so you can drive away with confidence from day one.

How long will my baby use this seat?

The i-Class covers your baby from birth all the way to 87 cm, which is approximately 18 months, depending on how quickly they grow. Most babies will reach the height limit before the weight limit, so keep an eye on the headroom above their head as they grow.

Why does my baby need to travel rear-facing?

Rear-facing is the safest position for babies because it distributes crash forces across their back, neck, and head (the parts that need protection most in the early months). The i-Class is rear-facing only, and that's by design. So it's not a limitation, it's the safest choice for your baby at this stage.

Does it attach to the Goya stroller?

Yes and it's one of the best things about it. The i-Class clicks straight onto the Goya Platinum frame in seconds using the included adaptors. So no unbuckling and no waking a sleeping baby. They go from car to stroller completely undisturbed.

How do I know when my baby has outgrown the i-Class?

The simplest check: if your baby's head is at or above the top of the seat shell, they've outgrown it (whichever comes first between height and weight limits). Never wait until they look uncomfortable. When the i-Class is done, the i-Class Plus (40–105 cm) is ready and waiting to take over.

Does it need the i-Class 360 ISOFIX base?

The i-Class can be installed two ways: using the i-Class 360 ISOFIX base, or with the vehicle seatbelt using the integrated belt guides. Both are safe when installed correctly. That said, we strongly recommend using the i-Class with the 360 base for maximum safety and ease on every single trip.

What is the 3-Layer Shield Protection?

It's the i-Class's integrated side impact protection system, three dedicated layers engineered to absorb and redirect collision force away from your baby. Because most real-world accidents happen from the side, and the i-Class is built to handle exactly that. Tested and certified to UN R129/04 by TÜV SÜD.

How do I clean the fabrics?

All removable fabrics can be hand-washed quickly and easily. For the rest of the seat, a damp cloth with mild soap does the job. Always check the care label for exact instructions. Because with a baby in the car, spills aren't a question of if, they're a question of when.

Is the i-Class certified to i-SIZE standards?

Yes, the i-Class is tested and certified to UN Regulation R129/04 (i-SIZE) by TÜV SÜD, one of the most rigorous independent testing organiзations in the world. That means it meets the very latest European safety standards for infant car seats, giving you full confidence on every journey.
