Is the i-Class Plus suitable from birth?
Yes, completely. The i-Class Plus toddler car seat covers your child from 40 cm all the way to 105 cm and approximately 19.5 kg, which means it's ready from the very first ride home. The full body support cushion holds newborns snugly, and as they grow, it removes easily when they no longer need it.
When can my child switch from rear-facing to forward-facing?
Under 15 months, the AgeLock system on the i-Class 360 ISOFIX base keeps the seat locked rear-facing automatically (the safest position for younger children because it supports the head, neck, and spine in the event of a crash).
If your child is over 15 months old, the Age-lock system unlocks the full 360° rotation, allowing for forward-facing travel. We recommend keeping them rear-facing for as long as possible.
How do I know when my child has outgrown the i-Class Plus?
When they reach either 105 cm in height or 19.5 kg in weight, whichever comes first. That's typically around age 4. The 10-position adjustable headrest and expandable leg support mean you'll get every bit of that time before the seat is outgrown.
Does the i-Class Plus work with the same ISOFIX base as the i-Class infant seat?
Yes, the i-Class 360 ISOFIX base is compatible with both the i-Class infant seat and the i-Class Plus toddler seat. If you already have the base installed in your car, the i-Class Plus clicks straight onto it.
Does the i-Class Plus have to be used with the ISOFIX base?
Yes, the i-Class Plus must be connected to the i-Class 360 ISOFIX base at all times. It cannot be used independently. The base stays fixed in your car, so day-to-day it's simply one click to lock in and one click to release.
What is AgeLock and how does it work?
AgeLock system is built into the i-Class 360 ISOFIX base and does exactly what it sounds like. Under 15 months, it locks the seat in the rear-facing position, the safest direction for young children. If the system is set up for children over 15 months old, it allows the car seat to rotate 360° and the child to travel forward facing.
How do I clean the i-Class Plus?
The upholstery is removable and can be hand-washed, which makes it much easier to deal with the inevitable toddler spills, crumbs, and mystery stains. The shell and frame clean up quickly with a damp cloth and mild soap. We recommend to always follow the care label instructions for the best results.
